Design Thinking Challenge
I was honored to be selected as one of the 1,000 global talents to contribute to accelerating breakthrough solutions for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of #SDG2030. This opportunity came after a rigorous selection process involving 10,000 applicants from over 165 countries. Representing the Singapore University of Social Sciences, I joined forces with a diverse team comprising members from Singapore, China, USA, and Czech Republic.
Together, we developed a sustainable and scalable business idea known as "Sweet Hub" to address the issue of sweet potato waste. Our concept involved sourcing and selling sub-optimal sweet potatoes at reduced prices, aiming to achieve a zero-waste sweet potato inventory for farmers.
As the event concluded, we presented our solution to a distinguished audience, including investors, experts, mentors, and peers. This pitch session provided us with valuable feedback and insights from industry professionals, further enhancing the potential impact of our innovative idea.
